HED Clip Lite Bars (Carbon)

When we were looking for aerobars, we wanted something that was 1) carbon 2) light and 3) really cool. The HED Flip Lite/Clip Lite bars are really very impressive. Probably one of the best clip on bars on the market simply because of the pad's ability to flip out of the way. Every have an uphill TT, but a 6 mile approach to the hill? What happens when you get to the hill? You bang you knees into the stupid pads - but not here. Here you easily flip the pads up and you're able to get out of the saddle to deliver power when you need it most. And for all you ITU triathlon gurus, this is a great bar for you, too. HED Standard Disc with h3C/A front

The distinctive three-spoke configuration of the H3 has given it more Tour de France top 10 TT finishes than any other wheel in the last 10 years, with or without stickers. It is the most aero production front wheel available. As a rear, the outstanding stiffness of the the wheel provides optimum power transfer. Little wonder it’s such a common sight in prol level races. The H3 is the most aero spoked wheel that we make. Rim construction is identical to the Alps. Using RTM construction, the spokes, rim, and hub are co-molded in one operation. Because there are no secondary bonding processes, the H3s are supremely strong. The rim weight is light – 460g, the three spokes only weigh 170g, so the wheels climb and accelerate very well. Available in clincher or tubular, 650 or 700. Shimano cassette, or track configuration only. Hubs are wheel-specific, two sealed bearings on the front wheel, one sealed cartridge on the rear non-drive side and ¼” loose ball-bearings on the drive side. Decals are white. <br /> The H3C wheel came about when the top teams in the pro peloton wanted a lighter TT wheel. It seemed like a reasonable request, so we made it. The shape is unchanged from our standard H3 wheel, but for the all carbon model we have replaced the aluminium rim with carbon. The result? 170g less rotating mass, still the most aerodynamic spoked wheel in the world. Simple and perfect for against the clock performance. Available in tubular only, 650 or 700. Shimano cassette or fixed gear. Hubs are wheel-specific, two sealed bearings on the front wheel, one sealed cartridge on the rear non-drive side and ¼” loose ball-bearings on the drive side. We recommend carbon specific brake pads for the H3C. DISC: Wind tunnel testing at the Texas A&M facility has proved the disc to be the most aerodynamically efficient of all the HED wheels. This has also been corroborated by independent tests at Bath University England, which confirmed the advantages and benefits that a lenticular disc has over flat discs. The lenticular shape smoothes the disturbed air produced by the rider and crosswinds, so airflow leaving the wheel surface is less turbulent than on a flat disc or wire spoked wheel. A reduction in turbulence is an increase in speed.

HED StD Package with Jet 90 front (clincher)

JET 90: The most aggressively designed of the Jet wheel series, the Jet 90 is at its best on high speed, non-technical courses. It is an ideal all conditions rear wheel or for races where discs are not allowed. It is less affected by sidewinds than a disc, making it an excellent choice for races with gusty wind. HED Stinger 6090 packagE (Tubular)

Stinger 60: HED"s Stinger 60 is very very similar to Zipp"s 404. The differences include non-dimples and a different bearing supplier. Are these wheels inferior to Zipp? Hardly. Light, strong and fast, especially for TT use. As a front wheel, the 60 will create the frontal air-foil you are looking for without catching heavy cross winds. Stinger 90: If your course might have strong cross winds or lots of hills, or both, this is your rear wheel for a TT or triathlon. The 90mm crossection creates an airfoil for the rear of the bike, while still allowing cross winds to pass perpendicularly through the wheel.

HED Jet 6090 package (Clincher)
