American classic 58 carbon tubular

The American Classic 58 Carbon uses the molds from Zipp's 404 line to create the rim. Laced to the rims are some of the very lightest hubs you can find anywhere. The AC 58 hubs are just that- 58 grams. These are the same hubs we use to build our own Echappe wheels, so we really stand behind them. Completely redesigned for 2006. Over the winter we improved every part of the Jet wheels. Refinement of the carbon and alloy components of the rim make it faster, lighter, and stronger.The strengthened rim allows fewer spokes for less weight decreased drag. Front spokes are 6/4 titanium for more weight savings. Front hubs are lightened to 79g, with a forged shell for strength and top quality bearings sporting low-drag seals. Rear spoke count is reduced to 24, saving 48g over the previous generation wheel. The latest Jets are a wheels that are lighter, stronger, and faster. It is tempting to say "this is all the wheel you need", but that would be selling it short. Faster than ever, the new Jet is race light and everyday strong. The AC 420 is a well loved wheel by many pros and elite amateurs. Lightweight, and with AC's 6-pawl freehub body design, these babies snap into speed. With shallow profile they climb well mainly because of a shorter spoke length, though once up to speed the will create a moderate aerodynamic benefit. If you're thinkig about an all around clincher, this is a great test.
